The golden question we always hear from people is when will they be able to retire? That’s what everyone wants to know.
The answer to that question varies for everyone and it ultimately depends one what you want in retirement. For some clients, $2,000 each month is all they’ll need while other people will need 10 times that to live the life they want. The good news is we can help you determine what your number will be based on financial simulations we can run, and that breeds confidence for the clients.
To give you a better idea of the process we go through with clients, we’re going to share the most common positions people are in before retirement. Kyle Kirwan joins Jammie Avila on this episode of the Cornerstone Retirement Blueprint Podcast to give us insight into this important question.
This is a huge step for each of us and we all will approach it different.
There are people that reach retirement age but say they aren’t ready yet for a variety of reasons. Maybe they are fearful of what’s to come or unsure about their finances. Many times those same people that are worried actually have plenty of money to retire and seeing it on paper can give them that confidence.
On the other side of the coin, we work with people that are ready to retire immediately but their financial situation doesn’t agree. We do everything we can to give them choices, but sometimes working longer is the only solution.
Whatever position you’re in, get the confidence you need to head into retirement and live the life you’ve worked so hard to provide. Building a plan will show you what income you’ll need and where that will come from so you’ll truly be able to answer that golden question.
